Purina Pet Parade 2023

This is a day for "Pet Lovers" at the Mardi Gras Celebrations. The annual event brings out thousands of pet owners for a playday with other pets and pet owners. You hear what sounds like dog fights all day. You'll see a dog look at it's owner as if to say "he/she has a bad attitude. 

All pet are welcome at the parade in the past exotic reptiles have been the norm. So see this turtle was no surprise.

The Purina Pet Parade has grown in popularity. Every year the parade seems more and more like main parade held for the Soulard's Mardi Gras celebration. 

The streets of Soulard fill with the Mardi Gras spirit and the dawn their costumes. Dog groomers have shown their skills and the pets coats shine in the mid days sun. 

Even though it is Super Bowl Sunday the streets of Soulard in St. Louis, Missouri, USA fill with pet owners.

The Purina Pet Parade is complete with the Weiner Dog Races held in the Soulard Market Square. Here is a tip for you. If you want to see the Weiner Dog Races you might have to miss part of the parade. The Grand Stands for the Weiner Dog Race are always packed. five hundred to thousand people crowd the small race track.
